An arrow can show a move. Coaching helps you understand the idea behind it.
“Your knight attacks the pawn on e5 and comes into the game. Developing your pieces helps you prepare to castle.”

Why can’t my king move there?

What can I try for free?
Play against the computer, use board help and try seven daily puzzles without signing in. Free written coaching covers three matches per rolling seven days, with up to five successful explanations per match.
What does signing in add?
You can practise from a different puzzle collection and revisit your own mistakes. A free account can start three new Train drills per day. That allowance is separate from the seven daily guest puzzles.
What is expert coaching?
The chess engine analyses the position, and a language model turns the analysis into a written explanation in your coach’s voice. You request it with “Explain my move.” Board hints remain available separately.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. Open Oh My Chess in your phone’s browser. The compact coach panel keeps advice close to the board. An Android app is in development; there is no public store download yet.
